Carrying on that which was started at FBEL: presented here on a page entitled, “illegitimate<\/a>“, is a list* of Members of Parliament who were “elected” in 2024 on a turnout of less than 51%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are 69 of them in all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s 10.6% of the House of Commons. Look out for legislation that passes with a narrow margin. Look out for which MPs are sitting on committees, or proposing legislation. Look out for which Minister is enacting Statutory Instruments. I’ve added, at the foot of the page, a list of illegitimates (which might have omissions because of my hurry) with ministerial appointments as of 12th July, 2024, and will be updating periodically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I propose that any parliamentary outcome that depends on these illegitimates is null and void.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s no doubt that if Nigel Farage (lately whipping up participation and belief in a “far-right” street presence) hadn’t become involved in the election in order to encourage participation as he did, the number of constituencies with sub-51% turnouts would have been a great deal more. I told you this is what he and his “party” was for. Later at some point I will make another pass through the results to assemble a list of “could have beens” so that we get a concrete idea of the extent to which Farage saved Starmer’s executive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
